As the member of Parliament for Port Moody-Coquitlam, I hear from more and more constituents who say they or their loved ones can longer find a rental home they can afford, and, that their landlords keep increasing the rent despite record profits. Housing is a human right, but it is a right that far too many people in Canada are losing access to as these corporate landlords consolidate the rental-market and make homes unaffordable for Canadians. And, the Conservatives have been working with the Liberals to protect these greedy CEOs from being accountable to Canadians, letting them off the hook so they can continue to gouge renters. Corporate landlords are using unfair tactics such as Above Guideline Increases to force seniors, persons with disabilities, veterans and immigrants out of their homes.
Add your name to let the Justin Trudeau and Pierre Polievre know that you want these CEOs to stop gouging renters, and that you agree that they should be accountable to Canadians who are being forced from their homes in the name of profits.”
