Say "No" to increased tanker traffic on our coast

The Liberal government’s decision to continue expanding the TMX pipeline has put our community and many others along the coast in danger. According to the Canadians Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE) there is no credible plan in place to handle an evacuation in the event of an oil spill. To make matters worse, they have gone back on their promises to protect the environment, like the Conservative government before them did, and are now risking the survival of the 74 southern resident killer whales despite warnings from groups such as the David Suzuki Foundation, World Wildlife Fund Canada, and many others. The Liberals continue to disregard the safety of our communities, the safety of our environment, and are working against the climate goals that they committed to.

The NDP will end subsidies to big oil and gas companies and to work to build the clean energy economy of tomorrow that protects our environment.
